PERTUNANGAN MENGIKUT SYARIAT
Sebelum seorang lelaki ingin menghantar pinangan, utuskanlah wakil untuk meninjau latar belakang peribadi wanita pilihannya itu. Begitu juga sebaliknya bagi pihak keluarga wanita dalam membuat keputusan untuk menerima bakal menantunya.
Hendaklah diselidiki dahulu diri lelaki yang hendak meminang itu tentang agamanya, fahamannya dan soal-soal hubungan dengan Tuhan sebagai pokok utama.
Pertama; adakah fardhu ain si lelaki benar-benar beres sebab suamilah tunjang yang bakal untuk mengajar anak-anak dan isteri bila telah mendirikan rumahtangga kelak. Memerhatikan perlaksanaan ibadah lelaki yang meminang itu seperti sembahyang secara individu dan secara berjemaah. Memerhati matlamat perniagaan dan perusahaan atau matlamat dalam pekerjaan lelaki berkenaan.
Orang sekarang tidak lagi memandang soal-soal hubungan dengan Allah sebagai pokok utama sejahteranya rumahtangga. Setiap kali berlangsungnya majlis merisik perkara utama yang akan ditanya ialah hal-hal kemewahan keduniaan saja syarat yang akan mensejahterakan dan mengukuhkan rumahtangga.
Tidak hairanlah bila lepas kahwin kehidupan anak- anak dan isteri terbiar tanpa bimbingan dan tunjuk ajar yang sewajarnya. Akhirnya anak-anak tidak taat kepada ibubapa dan isteri jadi ‘Queen Control’ kepada suami. Akhirnya, suami hilang hemahnya di dalam mentadbir rumahtangga menurut hukum Islam.
Ibubapa tidak boleh menolak pinangan seseorang lelaki itu semata-mata kerana darjat yang rendah. Sebaliknya, mestilah menolak pinangan seseorang lelaki itu apabila diketahui bahawa lelaki berkenaan berakhlak buruk seperti tidak sembahyang atau suka berfoya-foya, berjudi sekalipun dia berpangkat dan mempunyai harta.
Rasulullah saw pernah bersabda yang maksudnya:
“Sesiapa yang mengahwinkan akan perempuannya dengan lelaki yang fasik maka sebenarnya dia telah memutuskan silaturrahim dengan anaknya.”
Rasulullah saw bersabda lagi:
“Jika datang kepada kamu pinangan daripada seseorang lelaki yang kamu redha terhadapnya agama dan akhlaknya, hendaklah kamu terima. Kalau kamu menolaknya, padahnya adalah fitnah dan kerosakan di muka bumi.”
Setelah membuat perbincangan, wali wanita ada hak menentukan samada mahu menerimanya atau tidak, cuma secara beradapnya eloklah ditanya kepada empunya diri terlebih dahulu.
Mana-mana wanita yang tidak pandai membuat keputusan, eloklah memberi keputusan kepada walinya dalam membuat keputusan. Sebab pilihan walinya tentu tepat kerana seseorang bapa tidak akan sanggup menzalimi anaknya. Wali yang baik akan memilih lelaki yang beragama dan berakhlak mulia.
Akan tetapi kalau si anak itu mempunyai pilihan sendiri yang agak lebih baik agamanya dari pilihan bapanya itu, bapa hendaklah menghormati hasrat anaknya itu.
Untuk mendapat keberkatan Allah, dari awal majlis peminangan lagi kita mesti jaga iaitu tidak berlakunya percampuran di antara lelaki perempuan. Keberkatan Allah ini tidak dapat hendak kita gambarkan sebab hati yang akan terasa ketenangan itu. Kesannya bukan seminggu dua tetapi sampai ke hari tua.
Contohnya, orang di zaman salafusaleh, rumahtangga mereka berkat sebab dari awal peminangan lagi majlisnya sudah dijaga.
Tetapi kalau dalam majlis peminangan itu, awal- awal lagi kita tidak dapat menjaga syariat dan peradapan menurut Islam. Sampai akhir hayat pun mungkin rumahtangga itu nampak tak cantik, tak bahagia. Ada saja kusut masainya. Hati pun kadang-kadang tidak tenang untuk tinggal di rumah dan inilah yang banyak berlaku hari ini.
Sebab itulah amat penting dijaga suasana majlis ini. Biarlah bersusah-susah sedikit asalkan syariat Allah dapat kita jaga dengan baik.
Seperkara lagi, jangan dibebani rombongan peminangan dengan berbagai-bagai hantaran yang mahal-mahal. Contohnya pakaian, makanan, buah- buahan, alat solek, beg tangan, kasut, cincin bertunang, cincin nikah dan cincin hadiah. Memadai dngan sebentuk cincin saja sudahlah.
Malah ajaran Islam tidak pernah menyusahkan umat Islam dengan cara demikian. Bila hantaran terlalu tinggi hilang keberkatan rumahtangga.
Harus diingat, yang paling layak dalam menentukan mas kahwin ini ialah diri wanita itu sendiri, kerana mas kahwin itu memang haknya. Walau bagaimanapun sekarang ini semua negeri sudah menetapkan berapa mas kahwin untuk wanita tersebut bila berkahwin, boleh kita terima, tetapi sekiranya diri wanita tersebut hendak menetapkan berapa mas kahwinnya, kita perlu hormati. Begitulah kehendak syariat.
Sebab itulah dalam soal ini, Rasulullah memaklumkan kepada umat Islam bahawa mas kahwin yang paling baik yang terendah. Sabda Rasulullah saw:
“Bermula yang terbaik perempuan itu iaitu yang terlebih murah mas kahwinnya.”
Sabda Rasulullah saw lagi:
“Sebesar-besar berkat pernikahan ialah yang paling sediki mas kahwinnya.”
Bersabda Baginda lagi:
“Setengah daripada berkat permpuan itu iaitu segera dipersuamikan dan segera rahimnya itu kepada beranak dan murah mas kahwinnya.”
Kita patut mengetahui setengah daripada mas kahwin isteri Rasulullah saw itu hanya sepuluh dirham saja; sama nilainya dengan harga batu pengisar tepung atau sebiji tempayan atau sebiji bantal di rumahnya.
Setengah daripada para sahabat berkahwin dengan mas kahwin hanya seberat sebiji buah kurma (lebih kurang lima dirham)
Manakala Said Ibnu Musayyab mengahwinkan anak perempuannya dengan Abu Hurairah berbekalkan mas kahwin sebanyak dua dirham sahaja.
Sayidina Umar sangat melarang jika ada wali-wali perempuan yang menaikkan mas kahwin anak gadis mereka. Katanya:
“Tiada berkahwin Rasulullah dan tiada mengahwinkan ia anaknya yang perempuan dengan isi kahwin yang lebih daripada empat ratus dirham.”
Mas kahwin bukanlah semestinya hanya dengan wang atau emas permata, ayat-ayat Al Quran juga boleh dijadikan mas kahwin. Contohnya ayat dalam surah Al Fatihah atau Al Ikhlas, tidak kiralah seberapa banyak yang dikehendaki.
Akan tetapi apa yang dinamakan sebagai hantaran tidak wujud dalam Islam. Hantaran itu merupakan adat yang sepatutnya sudah lama ditinggalkan. Ini adalah kerana hantaran itu sebenarnya akan digunakan oleh pihak keluarga wanita untuk persiapan majlis perkahwinan. Kalau begitu halnya, hantaran tidak patutlah diminta kepada bakal menantunya. Kecuali bakal menantu hendak memberi hantaran, boleh kita terima, inilah cantiknya ajaran Islam dan ada hikmahnya.
Kesimpulannya sekarang ni, wang hantaran yg beribu2 tu sebenarnya takda dituntut pun dalam agama. Dengan wang hantaran yang berbelas ribu dengan kos perkahwinan yg berpuluh ribu sekarang ni bagi aku amatlah membebankan pihak lelaki. Yang mana lebih penting? Majlis perkahwinan yang eksklusif dan semua orang ingat atau sebuah perkahwinan yang diberkati? The choice is in your hands ladies!
Bila korang rasa nak mintak duit hantaran mahal-mahal kat bakal suami tu cuba korang fikirkan pulak berapa banyak pengorbanan yang dia dah lakukan untuk korang? fikirkan jugak tanggungjawab dia yang besar terhadap keluarga selepas berkahwin nanti. bukan je nak tanggung dari segi nafkah zahir dan batin malahan dosa korang pun dia yang tanggung tau. so korang fikir-fikirkan lah sendiri. tak payah la nak ikut trend or dengar cakap orang sangat. yang penting mudah-mudahan perkahwinan korang tu diberkati dan berbahagia hingga ke syurga. ♥
